You'll spend 8 hours learning Python fundamentals and some advanced topics. By the end of it, you'll have a deep understanding of Python and Software Engineering concepts.

Curriculum

Day 1: Master Python and Software Engineering

Morning Session (9 AM – 12 PM) – [Coffee and Bagels served]

Introduction to Python and Software Engineering

- Dive into Python 101 with an overview of the entire language
- Tackle 187 executable examples with full solutions
- Work on two exciting projects:
  - a NoSQL key-value microservice API
  - a CDC Covid-19 data science analysis

Lunch (12 PM – 1 PM) – [Assortment of Sandwiches and chips]

Afternoon Session (1 PM – 5 PM)

Advanced Python and Software Engineering

- Explore advanced Python topics
- Learn Python C Extensions
- Get comfortable with Github and CI/CD pipelines
- Complete 36 in-class examples with solutions
- Two Hands On Projects:
  - Build your own Python C extension using Google CoLab and Github Python repository with full CI/CD pipeline
  - Analyze CDC Covid-19 data using Pandas

Day 2: Unleash the Power of Data Science

Introduction to Data Science

- Get introduced to Data Science and the most popular Data Science Tools – Pandas, and DataFrames
- Learn about Numpy and Data Science math and data structures
- Analyze a Zillow house pricing datasets and visualize with charts and graphs
- Complete 83 in-class executable examples with solutions
- Delve into two hands-on projects:
  - Pandas Federal Election Committee Data Analysis
  - Pandas USDA Food Data Analysis

Lunch (12 PM – 1 PM) – [Assortment of Sandwiches and chips]

Afternoon Session (12 PM – 5 PM)

Advanced Data Science

- Learn Advanced Data Science techniques with DataFrames
- Master Data Cleaning Techniques
- Analyze data at Scale
- Grasp the basics of Machine Learning / AI
- Work on 63 Hands-on Executable Examples including building a movie recommendation system similar to the Netflix Prize
- Complete Two Hands-On Projects:
  - Pandas USA.gov Web Traffic Data Analysis
  - Pandas US Baby Names Data Analysis
